Velsao Beach is located on the state’s southern coast, 25 km from Panaji, the capital city. This beach is close to many other prominent beaches, including Majorda and Colva Beach to the south and Bogmalo Beach to the north. Velsao, which is easily accessible from neighboring beaches, is an ideal destination for a quick day trip. This beach, which spans from Mobor to Betul for nearly 20 kilometers, is one of Goa’s most beautiful. The sunsets and sunrises at this beach are magnificent.

If you’re interested in sightseeing, you may go to several of the churches along the shore. The Velsao Chapel, built on top of a hill, is about 15 kilometers distant. This location provides a breathtaking view of the sunset. Another destination to see is Our Lady of Assumption Church, which was founded in 1635.
